Volunteers supported by Ed Miliband and Rosie Winterton

Volunteers from Friends of Woodfield Park and TCV joined forces today as part of a project funded by The Health Lottery.

Ed Miliband and Rosie Winterton,  along with Richard Desmond, founder of the Health Lottery, and the Asda CEO, Andy Clark, visited Woodfield Park to see first-hand the difference being made by local volunteers.

After strolling around Woodfield Park chatting to volunteers Mr Miliband said: “I am incredibly impressed by what The Conservation Volunteers are doing, talking to the volunteers they are obviously getting a lot out of it.”

What a great day. Well done everyone!!
