Keep warm on those cold winter days with a workout on our newly installed fresh air fitness equipment. The Friends of Woodfield Park, were awarded funding from the People’s Health Trust using money raised by HealthRich through The Health Lottery, to install extra pieces of equipment to the ever popular ‘Outdoor Gym’. Directly adjacent to the woodland trails it’s ideally placed to incorporate into an outdoor fitness session or to try out just for fun! The gym is used regularly by walkers on the weekly Tuesday morning Woodland Wander. Anyone wishing to join in we meet at St Catherine’s House 9.30am. For more information follow us on Facebook @WoodfieldParkBalby or Twitter @WoodfieldPark
Had a great summer welcoming a group from the National Citizen Service on our weekly woodland wander along with some other unexpected activities namely the sit up challenge!
Lovely weather, great company and some healthy activity too.
If anyone would like to join us along the walk we meet every Tuesday Morning – 9.30am outside St Catherine’s House. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather, the woodland paths are also suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
